New Resources for Churches

From ‘about’ section of website:

Welcome!  At last there is an online place for the churches in Scotland to use as a portal for resources that will help in everyday congregational life.  This new site has taken well over a year to bring together.

The site has been designed around you.  There’s an opportunity for you to find resources that you can download and use, to offer reviews of materials you’ve used yourself or to upload resources that you’ve created yourself, perhaps for a holiday club, a bible study group or even a favourite sermon.”

JOINED-UP THINKING ON YOUTH WORK - LEARNING FROM THE AUSTRALIAN CHURCH

Filed under: Events — slpcm @ 01:18 am

Have you ever wished for a really integrated approach to youth work, one that leads from school age right through into training for leadership in the local congregation? That is what has been achieved by Presbyterian Youth, the youth work ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Australia. Now we in Scotland have an opportunity to hear of this successful approach at first hand.

Forward Together are glad to be hosting a visit by Murray Norman and Nathain Secker from Presbyterian Youth. Murray is the manager of the project. There are seminars for MINISTERS, YOUTH WORKERS and YOUTH LEADERS in GLASGOW, EDINBURGH and DINGWALL. These meetings are not youth rallies, but rather seminars for those with a vision for integrated youth work. There will also be youth evenings at KIRKMUIRHILL and DINGWALL.

Seminars for ministers, youth workers and youth leaders:

SATURDAY 1st NOV  GLASGOW     Chryston Church Hall, 10 am   12 noon

WEDNESDAY 5th NOV EDINBURGH   Holyrood Abbey Church Hall, 7.30   9.30 pm

THURSDAY 6th NOV  DINGWALL    Highland Theological College, 7.30   9.30 pm
